EARLY YEARS
QCF qualifications at Level 2 and 3 - for those working as part of the Children and Young People's Workforce. These qualifications are suitable for learners who are 16+ and are designed to build the knowledge and skills needed when working in the children and young people's workforce in England. They cover the age range from birth to 19 years and encompass a diverse range of job roles and occupational areas including Early Years.
CACHE Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People's Workforce and CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce - designed to help learners build the knowledge and skills needed when working with children and young people birth to 19 years of age.
CHILDMINDING
Here are two options for Childminders to meet OFSTED requirements:
Setting up your Childminder Business – 15 hour course covers the fundamental topics, including introducing and welcoming new families, planning for Play and the business side of Childminding.
Unit 5 of the CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce - blended learning programme of 25 hours plus the assessment requirements of the new Level 3 Diploma.
PLAYWORK
Induction Award in Playwork - The Induction Award, recognised by OFSTED as adequate briefing for holiday / seasonal Playworkers, combines classroom knowledge sessions with assessment of knowledge and competence in the real work environment. This course will introduce a new Playworker to the Playwork Principles.
CACHE Level 2 and 3 Award Certificate & Diploma in Playwork - The Level 2 and 3 Award, Certificate and Diploma help you enhance your knowledge of children's play and development. The Award, Certificate and Diploma offer a stepping stone approach to gaining a nationally recognised qualification whilst continuing to practice in a Playwork setting.
CHILDCARE MANAGEMENT
Accredited Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) qualifications:
ILM Level 2 in Team Leading
This flexible qualification is specifically for those already practising or aspiring team leaders. It is designed to give a solid understanding of the principles and practicalities of team leading.
ILM Level 3 in Effective Management
The ILM Level 3 NVQ in Management is ideal for first line managers with responsibility for managing budgets, allocating work to team members, achieving specific results and some degree of decision making.
ILM Level 5 Award/Certificate/Diploma in Management
The ILM Level 5 Award/Certificate/Diploma in Management aims to give practising or potential managers a foundation for the formal development of this role.
